Parking is tough but we came before the dinner rush at 7. Ordered the lomo saltado and mixed ceviche. Ceviche had shrimp, octopus, and squid, which were all very fresh and very citrus heavy. Beef in lomo was tender and fries were well seasoned!

The parking is terrible and here's a sketchy 7-11 next door but the food is so delicious. I was visiting LA and made sure to carve out some time to check this place out. Ordered a Lomo Saltado with an Inca Kola. The bread they serve prior to the meal was fresh out of the oven. Had to restrain myself not to fill up on the bread. It was so good. The flavor profile for Lomo Saltado is unique. It's like a Chinese stir fry with steak, fried tomatoes, onions and French fries Yes French fries with a side of lightly seasoned white rice. As if this wasn't flavorful enough, they have a signature green sauce which is refreshingly spicy. The Inca Kola is a must to counteract the heat from the green sauce. I ate to the point of being uncomfortably full but I still couldn't finish it myself. Definitely a shareable dish. I went during lunch and lucked out with no wait but there was a line that formed shortly after I got there. This was easily the best food I had while visiting LA. Highly recommend.

be ready to wait! we had mario's to-go always and there was a reason for that. we arrived around 520-530 and waited about 30-40 minutes outside and then another 40-45 minutes after we had ordered our food. the server apologized that they had an influx of to-go orders at our arrival (and several of the tables that were seated just before us and after) all experienced an unusually long wait for food. we were so hungry but we knew to respect the peruvian time lol other tables that arrived maybe 10 mins after us were a bit luckier as we observed that the food was coming out a bit faster. it's a bummer that it took forever but the food was tasty and lomo saltado really retains the heat very well. the portions are huge! enough for two people to share the lomo saltado. i would highly recommend arriving as a bigger group and sharing it family style. i love the potatoes in the papa a la huancaina - it's a cold dish and the sauce is pretty tasty and creamy. the egg is pretty overdone but it's not the main star of the dish. i had thought the yellow sauce is egg yolk but it's actually cheese and yellow peruvian pepper!! the fried rice with seafood was good - not overly seasoned and had tons of seafood. i did feel that some of the little squid was a little undercooked, so i didn't enjoy that a much. their lomo saltado is their best dish imo but i wanna try their soups next time :) oh and their green spicy sauce... is a must!!!

This place has my heart!! I first came here in July or August with friends and family.... Oh boy!! I am not a big meat eater but the Lomo Saltado! It is juicy, savory, hot, flavorful what a delightful dish! Accompanied by rice, delicious rice! The sauce they have on the table WOW!! They bring you freshly made bread and water. I now have tried the shrimp Saltado and the beef and I am in love!! There might be a wait time sitting but it is worth it! The waitress's are nice! Makes the whole experience such good time!
